De Uffizi-galleriet, or Galleria degli Uffizi in Italian, is a prominent art museum in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The museum houses a collection of masterpieces, particularly from the Italian Renaissance. There is no doubt that this museum is one of the most important and visited museums in Italy. The gallery is one of the largest and most famous in the world.

In the Uffizi, there is a collection of paintings that is among the most important in the world. Besides Florentine and Italian art, it also features a large number of foreign works and classical skulpturer. The Uffizi-galleriet was built by the grandson of Cosimo I, Granduca Francisco de’ Medici. The building was designed by Giorgio Vasari, one of the leading architects and painters of the 15. century, and built under his supervision in 1581.
De Florentine Renaissance paintings, a key part of this city’s contribution to European art, are its greatest treasure. In the period between about 1300 og 1500, these works paved the way for Western art as we know it today.

This Florence museum is connected to Pitti Palace, which became a residence for the Medici Family when the Pitti family fell on hard times. Medici Family members were able to attend mass without walking through the streets thanks to this secret corridor, which runs above the Ponte Vecchio.
This U-shaped gallery displays the architectural influences of Firenze, known as the birthplace of the Renaissance. At the Uffizi-galleriet, you’ll find some of the best pieces of Italian art.

De Uffizi-galleriet is one of the most famous art galleries in Florence. It also has the biggest queues of all the art galleries, so entering the gallery is not easy at all. Depending on your preferences, there are three possible options for skipping the lines:
Visit the museum on a guided tour –
By taking a guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery, you are better able to understand all of the artwork on display and navigate through the vast space. Professional tour guides are fluent in a variety of languages, including English, Italian, Spanish, French, og German, and will enlighten you on various topics.
Make your entrance ticket reservations in advance –
There is a possibility that tickets to the Uffizi Gallery will sell out quickly. Be sure to book your tickets early so you can get the date of your choice. This will also allow you to bypass the long queues and walk directly into the museum displaying the world’s finest Italian Renaissance collection. Advance booking of the entrance ticket will cost you an extra 4€ per person, but you will have direct access to the gallery.
It is best to visit the museum when there are few tourists around –
Uffizi-galleriet is open Tuesday through Sunday fra 8:15 am to 6:30 pm. It is best to visit during the early morning hours around 8:15 am – 9:00 am to avoid the crowds. It will allow you to devote more time to each room and learn more about the artwork. Nevertheless, you are welcome to visit the museum between 4:30 p.m og 5:00 p.m if you are not interested in going early. At 6:30 p.m, visitors will be asked to leave.

De cost of tickets varies depending on the time of year, autumn-winter, og spring-summer.
From March 1st to October 31st
The entrance ticket to the Uffizi-galleriet costs € 25 (full) and € 2 (reduced). The entrance to Palazzo Pitti has, however, a cost of € 16 (for the full ticket) and € 2 ( for the reduced one). To enter the Boboli-haverne, you will have to pay a ticket costing € 10 (Full) and € 2 (reduced). If you want to visit all the museums, you can buy a combined ticket for € 38.
from 1 March to 31 October “Early Bird” tickets
During the above period, a new promotion is also introduced. In fact, the new “early bird” ticket provides a 6 € discount for those who wish to visit the museum early in the morning between 8.15 am og 8.55 am. The admission fee, therefore, costs 19 € for visitors who have reserved the ticket to enter not later than 8.55 am and for visitors who purchase tickets without reservation within 8.45 am, with admission compulsorily not later than 8.55 am.
From November 1st to February 28th
The entrance ticket to the Uffizi-galleriet costs € 12 (full) and € 2 (reduced). The entrance to Palazzo Pitti has, however, a cost of € 10 (for the full ticket) and € 2 ( for the reduced one). To enter the Boboli-haverne, you will have to pay a ticket costing € 6 (Full) and € 2 (reduced). If you want to visit all the museums, you can buy a combined ticket for € 18.

Young European Union citizens, and Norwegian, Icelandic, Swiss, and Liechtenstein residents between the ages of 18 og 25, receive the reduced admission fee.

Every First Sunday of the month, the State museums, including the Florence Uffizi Gallery, are FREE.

Are there any combined tickets?

Where the Uffizi Gallery is located and how to get there?

De Uffizi-galleriet is housed in the Uffizi Palace in the heart of central Florence, between Piazza della Signoria og Ponte Vecchio. Taxis are the only means of transportation near the museum; neither cars nor buses eller trams can get there.
What day is Uffizi free?
On the first Sunday af every month, the museum is open during normal hours and admission is free. There are no pre-booked tickets available for those dates. The museum is closed on Mondays, January 1, May 1, og December 25.
Uffizi gallery dress code?
It is necessary to dress appropriately for a visit to the gallery. It’s not allowed to enter the building with too little dress, such as a barefooted or a bare-skirted look.
Can you take photos inside the Uffizi Gallery?
You are allowed to take pictures without the use of a flash. It must be noted, however, that tripods og selfie sticks cannot be used inside the gallery.
